Have a favourite article of clothing you just can’t live without? Ever wished you could sew one for yourself?
With this class, you’ll learn a method to draft a pattern from your existing garment. You will have a chance to start drafting your item, and we’ll discuss the method and skills needed to complete your project. We’ll discuss which fabrics will bring you the most success for your project, and any finishing items needed.
Please Note: You must bring a garment to copy to class. We suggest t-shirts, simple blouses, or pants with an elasticized or drawstring waist. More complicated garments like shirred, pleated, or boned items will pose a greater challenge, as will jeans or other highly structured items.
Level: This is an adult class appropriate for intermediate students or adventurous beginners.
