What is a Destash Sale?

Sometimes one will have fabric, yarn, notions, and such that they no longer want or need.  They'd rather these get a new life with a new owner than sit on a shelf or go to waste.  A destash sale provides a forum for these items to find their new homes. 

What types of items will I find here?

It will really depend on what people want to sell.  We will definitely have fabric of various types. There will also be yarn. There will probably be various types of notions and fibre arts related tools.  

If you have something and you aren't sure if it is appropriate to sell at this sale, send us a message (or stop by the shop) and we'll be happy to discuss it with you.  If it is something used in fibre arts in someway, it is probably suitable.

Participating by Shopping

Come out to our location and browse the selection of items that others are selling. Build your own stash from items that someone else no longer needs.

Participating by Selling Items

You set the prices, we'll handle the sales. 

Send us a message to let us know you are interested in de-stashing some items. We'll send you a unique code that you can use to identify your items.  Label your items with a price that you set, and the unique code that we provide you with.
If you have fabric with a long continuous piece, you can indicate whether you are willing to have the yardage cut, or if you would prefer that it goes all or nothing. If cuts are made, you could end up with a remainder left at the end.
Drop off your items before Friday, November 24 at the shop during our business hours (or contact us to make other arrangements if that isn't possible). After the sale we will pay you out for any of your items sold (minus a 10% commission to help cover our costs) and return any items that were not sold. 

We can also provide labelling supplies, if needed. Stop by the shop during our business hours, and we can provide you with a bundle of tags and labels, starting November 15.

How should I price my items?

Set the price based on what you will be willing to part with it for, and don't forget that we will take a small commission on sales. You'll want to take into consideration things like the amount, quality, any damage, and the desirability of the item.
