Yes, you can! Learn to sew knit fabric on a regular sewing machine with this intro to knits class including how to cut, sew and finish knits. The Jalie Cocoon Cardigan is a great project to sink your needle into some knits! Dolman sleeves, loose-fitting, banded hems-comfy fun!
Note: This is not a serger class. The entire knit project will be sewn and finished on your sewing machine.
The class price includes pattern and all materials necessary to complete the project. This includes 1.5m of our linen/polyester knit fabric. You have a colour choice of charcoal heather, navy heather, sky blue heather, or ash grey heather. (If you would like a sold out option, let us know, and provide a backup option. If it is in stock by your class date, we will use your first choice, otherwise your backup will be provided.)
If you would like to use a different fabric for the class, contact us and we will let you know if it will be an appropriate choice, and the price difference for the class.
We will prewash your fabric for you so that it is ready to use during the class.
We have sewing machines (Janome HD 5000) available for use during the class or you can bring your own.
Please indicate if you would like to use one of our machines or if you plan to bring your own.
Class will be held at the Spool & Spindle Studio:
142 Waterloo St.
Each student will receive a one-time use 20% off coupon for use at Spool & Spindle (online or in-store).
