This is a 4-part class. Parts 1+2 are scheduled on the same day. You may be expected to do some of the sewing between classes as well.
Part 1 + 2: Saturday, February 9th, 10am-4pm (bring a bagged lunch)
Part 3: Wednesday, February 13th, 7pm - 10pm
Part 4: Thursday, February 21st. 7pm-10pm

Techniques: inserting a zipper, bias binding
The Maker's Tote pattern is included in the price of the pattern. If you already have your own copy of the pattern that you will be bringing to class, you can exclude this option. The price will be automatically adjusted.
You will need to bring your own fabric and notions to class with you. Please only bring the fabric recommended by the pattern (Cotton Canvas, cotton/linen canvas, denim, twill or quilting cotton for exterior. Quilting cotton for lining and pockets). A 20% off coupon will be included in your registration e-mail if you wish to purchase materials from us. If you come into the shop, we will be happy to help you chose your fabrics!
You will need:
- Exterior fabric, .75m (0.5m)
- Lining fabric, 1.25m (1m)
- Pocket fabric, 1.25m (1m)
- Accent fabric (includes binding and handles, 0.5m)
- Fusible Woven Interfacing (20″-wide), 1.5m
- Fusible Mid-weight Interfacing (44″-wide), 1m
- ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable (or Pellon FlexFoam -20” wide), 0.5m or 1m of Pellon
- 18” separating “Jacket” zipper (14” for small)***
- 10” non-separating zipper for tote back (7” for small)
We have sewing machines (Janome HD 5000) available for use during the class or you can bring your own.
Please indicate if you would like to use one of our machines or if you plan to bring your own.
We recommend bringing a bagged lunch for any sessions that run over lunchtime.
