Nani Iro is well known in Japan and around the world for creating stunning watercolour designs on cotton and cotton/linen blend substrates. This beautiful cotton/linen blend is no exception. The fabric is lightly brushed on the wrong side (not the printed side), resulting in a lovely slightly open weave fabric suitable for garment or accessory projects.
The word 'Komorebi', the name of this print, is a Japanese word to describe sunlight filtering through the leaves of a tree, and this print certainly evokes the same feeling. Patches of cream metallic print add extra visual appeal, and plays nicely with the watercolour print.
This fabric is slightly translucent.
