Batiks

Filter

Batiks are created by applying stenciling to the cotton fabric, which is then treated with layers of dye and with wax for masking the designs. Each fabric will have it's own variations due to the hand-dying techniques used.

please note: due to the wax resist dye process, sometimes Batiks will come with small deposits of wax left on the fabric. These wash off and will not damage your machine or the fabric. They are a natural part of the batik creation process, so no need to worry if you find some on your fabric.
