This stuff is blowing my mind like an aggressive two-year old with a dandelion puff.
It's PAPER. But it's paper that feels like leather, sews, washes and irons like fabric.
I KNOW. It seems impossible, yes? Well my friends, we live in an age of wonders, because this stuff is for realsies. I was prepared to be disappointed in this stuff; but it is genuinely amazing.
If you wash it, it gets this soft crinkled look, like worn in linen, or like well-used wax canvas. But it still feels durable and strong. I will warn you that it is quite crisp right off the roll, but it can be creased; so if you are sewing something that you have to turn inside out, it may get creases (but such pretty creases, just like linen).
It would be amazing for bags, pouches, wallets, handles. I bet someone could make a hat or a belt. Journal and book covers, too. You can punch holes in it, and it doesn't fray. It might be a modern wonder.
