This design features an extinct species, The Golden Toad. Create a small stitched memorial for this amphibian from the recent past.
Golden Toads were a species of toad that was, unsurprisingly, orange and gold, and lived in a small area of Costa Rica, called the elfin Cloud Forest. Which, let's face it, sounds amazing. Apparently elfin forest contain MINIATURE TREES AND FLORA, and I'm losing my mind a little bit because that's so incredible. They were discovered in 1964, and the last one was seen by Martha Crump on May 15th, 1989. Unlike the toads she studied, Martha is still around and has published several books, including "The Search for the Golden Toad" which I definitely now need to read.
