Oh goodness, this fabric. I am an absolute sucker for interesting wovens; and this collection from Ruby Star Society is the very definition of interesting wovens. They've used various weaving techniques to create fabric with texture, interest, and- dare I say it- a little bit of intrigue. If this fabric was a British Detective; it would be Father Brown of fabrics. Traditional, but full of surprises and delight.
Anyways, the fabric, right. It really is gorgeous. It is surprisingly lightweight; much more akin to a lawn with fluid movement and gentle drape. This is a classic clipped dot weave; you could use either side as your front side, but I personally prefer the more textured side. The interest is added by making the clipped threads a contrasting colour to the main weave of the fabric.

Fabric is priced and sold by the 1/4 metre. We cut multiple 1/4 metres continuously. For example; 2 units is 1/2m, 3 units is 3/4m, 4 units is a full metre, 5 units is 1.25m. A single 1/4 metre will be cut as a fat quarter, unless you request a skinny quarter. Fat Quarters are half the width of the fabric x 0.5m, whereas Skinny Quarters are the full width of the fabric x 0.25m. We do this so you can order just as much fabric as you need, to decrease fabric wastage.
